OK, IBM TO DA MOON!!!!!!!!!

OK, I'm all for that. :-) Only 800 more points, and I am mortgage free! :-)

The forthcoming earnings (in a bit over a month now) are worrisome. INTC, CSCO, and others are purging but IBM has been silent other than the positive forward guidance at the first of the year. The difference, of course, is that INTC and CSCO address particular sectors (semiconductors and networking hardware respectively) whereas IBM has a broader portfolio (hardware, software, and services), but a slow down in spending is a slow down in spending and it's hard to believe anyone would be immune. What gives Lou? What you got up your sleeve? I last sold my entire long position at 113 before 3Q00 earnings report and bought back in the 80's and 90's and have since culled that back a little, but I personally don't have a good read right now other than many here on SI are shorting it (IBM).

Sorry... off topic, but it's my thread so I don't care.
