STORAGE, its the only area where I hear the funds are still buying. They always mention VRTS and EMC but the sister stocks like MCDT,QLGC, EMLX, and BRCD are th3e ones that rallied from 9/00-12/00.

I find it very strange how STORAGE did extremely well during the NASD 10/00-12/00 fall. If this proves to be what I expect as a SNAP-BACK area we could very well be a historic lows for the space.

I would like all to consider the following scenerio. NASD starts to find support and bounces back to the 2300-2400 area as greenspan lowers rates. Then we warnings wade and we get the actual earnings next 3-4 weeks. These earnings are not as bad as most exepected and the price targets reduced by the brokerages have to be raised. The nasd RISES to the 2900-3100 area in early MAY then hangs around there as we start to hear the VISIBILITY IS FINALLY AT HAND. As companies give good news with decent outlook but very conservative the NASD rallys to 3400-3500 by late June. Then as everyone finds out too late Greenspan is behind the curve and GROWTH picks up.

Any thoughts where the NASD could wind up by early fall if we do see improving conditions??

Just a thought from a hibernating bear that is finally THAWING OUT!!
