Tony ---from briefing.com this morning ---[BRIEFING.COM] An extremely weak open to begin the day with curbs already in on the Dow. Downward earnings revisions, job cuts and caution over the intermediate-term business outlook are beginning to weigh on the markets. Late last week, such comments were made by tech leaders Intel (INTC -0.50) and Cisco Systems (CSCO -1.56). This morning's contribution came from cell phone maker LM Ericsson (ERICY -1.46). More recent revelations that the tech spending slowdown may not be limited to North America are also causing concern among investors. The sense among investors is the technology cycle may be further from the bottom than previously believed, and perhaps Mr. Greenspan is behind the curve on interest rates. NYSE Adv/Dec 667/1755... Nasdaq Adv/Dec 639/2214.

I have some cash left also ---If I invest in the market it will be in "QQQ" because I do not really feel comfortable with any one sector right now and will probably not invest until the end of March ---hopefully most of the earnings warnings will be behind us . Greenspan really has a problem ---my house is in recession mode ( has been since January ) ---conserving cash . If he thinks this is all just a TECH bubble I wonder what he will do when the S%P 500 start crashing . Between Japan in a depression , USA in a recession and Europe slowing he will have to pull a genie out of his briefcase . The man needs to stepdown ---he is behind the curve bigtime . CNBC needs to replace the clowns on Squawbox also ---really have been on a tear on the bear case ---costing a lot of people their shares in the market with their total doom and gloom .

BEST WISHES
BILL
