Helping another child in distress (giving comforting words, stepping in and playing with someone being excluded, walking an injured child to the office), taking an issue to a yard supervisor that you were not involved in (and you can't be friends with one of the parties), helping or playing with a younger child, teaching someone else, reading to someone else- You heretic, you! I personally subscribe to the random-acts-of-kindness approach so I applaud what you're doing. I hope it sticks with your students. And I hope you don't get at cross purposes with any parents. Karen
