When I mentioned that I wouldn't be online before Friday, I didn't know my wife wanted to take the laptop with us.

I don't see the first and second are the only choices. I mean, LTB&H is a strategy for equity investing, but it doesn't contain within itself any recommendation for how much of one's wealth should be in equities in the first place.

I also think there is the choice about whether or not we should alter our spendings with the idea of increasing our savings and our ability to invest at lower prices. Today I met a young banker whose husband refuses to use a credit card; if they can't buy a product using cash, they figure they can't afford to buy it. It was really inspiring to see such a young couple focusing on such a wealth-building strategy.
