Does not work anyway, I did not get a W2K disk, but rather a recovery disk and a resources disk from Dell. As MSFT has told me, it seems that buying retail from MSFT and buying OEM is different.

I was able to create an ERD. The directions say I need to insert the W2K CD to create the setup disks and we did not get that CD in the package.

What the Hell, I have to replace another computer anyway and probably shall build one so I'll need to buy a W2K package anyway.

The kids are playing the Dead in the other room.....oh what a strange trip this has been. The practical thing seems to be to buy Volkswagons, not Ferrari's.Then if a machine drops dead you just push it over and put another one in it's place.

That shall be the M.O. around Chaos Manor here in the future. After all, if you think about it.....the cost of hardware today isn't worth the time. You can back up everything each day. Then, if the machine craps out you just throw it aside and plug in another, load it up and put the other aside. The HD is inexpensive, so if necessary you replace it with another and then you have a backup again.

Am I wrong? For a thousand dollars or so you could have a fine computer always on call. Perhaps a thousand dollars sounds like a lot but when trading it's a rather inexpensive backup system. Particularly when so much is available online anyway. Take eSignal for example. It does not care if I am using this machine or if I swap out to a POS that I built from a junk shoppe.
