Tommie...re"President bush won the population vote by 16 million. It is clear from the map that President Bush has an overwhelming mandate. boortz.com WRONG !! I've told you before that if you do the count on a state by state basis which is the way the electoral college works, GORE wins the "population" vote by 8, 613,199 votes...so how can Bush win by 16,000,000 on a county by county basis .....that would mean Bush needed some very very large counties that went overwhelmingly for him....can you name any such counties. I come from a county that is at least 3:1 republican and Bush barely won....
