Got to remember there is some fraction that has little or no exposure to equities at all, when you get that mean ... talk about transfer of wealth -- these folks didn't even get the chance to dream a little and they will pay dearly ...

I doubt *that*, but I can easily see how the average houshold has lost tens of thousands of dollars in this bear already:

$4 trillion market cap erased / ~100 million households = $40K per household

This ignores international investors and just uses round numbers, but it's in the ballpark. And if THAT doesn't cinch a recession, I don't know what possibly could...
