Nadine mostly they grease palms because they are looking for a tax break. If we had a flat tax that would eliminate about 75 % of the lobbyists. That's what they are mostly lobbying for, is tax breaks. The other portion is to do away with government subsidies over a period of time. One of the items Bush is doing away with is the tax payer funding of corporations doing business abroad. Why they hell we were doing that is beyond my grasp. One more thing would be to require that anyone running for Congress, the Senate or the Presidency have to pass a lie detector test just like the lower ranks have to. Then you ask them did you use the office for personal gain ? Were you bribed ? Now that would be a hoot !!!
