David - "looking for a good Oil/Gas stock"...... aren't we all? What other criteria are you considering? Value, anticipated hold time, personal risk comfort level, your outlook for commodity pricing, etc.? IF you feel that oil & gas prices will be able to improve upon yr.-over-yr. numbers over the next 3 or 4 qtrs. then possibly one of the remaining few big cap. situations could be what you're after. If you're willing to take on loads of risk then maybe a less liquid and smaller situation is what your after. IF you're willing to wait for a while and are interested in something like an index approach to the sector maybe something like the soon-to-be-listed iEnergy Fund (XEG-tse) could interest you. More info. is at iunits.com and the main attraction would appear to be low mgmt. expenses vs. mutual funds. As well, it will be possible to short sell the Units IF you're so inclined and feel that the direction of the oil&gas index may be down. Lots of choices......
