Bully for Li Kai-shing! Guess they don't make too many like that anymore. I bet that guy could do business just about anywhere, anytime, with anyone - he speaks the right language, eh?

It appears our Japanese friends aren't greeting the news of Mori's imminent resignation to well on the Nikkei. Shucks, I thought at least one resignation dcb was in order.

Jay - you know what I have not seen one post on, what happens when many of these companies go BK. They will not be able to raise additional captial.

Was looking at old Digital Island, now a $2 1/2 dollar stock. Employees (last reported count): 900

Since we have lost our manufacturing base we will sure need a lot of McDonalds and Starbucks to give them all jobs. I have looked at company after company today just like this - no PE, big employee numbers. This is a scenario I do not like to dwell on. Thinking of buying an island or a ranch in Montana surrounded by landmines and hire some of them for my personnal army.
