Sam,
Everything is ultimately regressive if it doesnt tax the rich at 99%. The question is how regressive can we be before it hurts the economy and thus everyone. Max pain in boom times might be a tax bracket of 40% but that imo cannot last. As far as using these poor examples who sometimes sit in the box seats during a presidential speech that goes back to Reagan(maybe before) and was used by clinton as well. Mike
