Blind faith is bad enough, but when you lure in neophytes its a different ballgame.

Make no mistake, you can run, but you cant hide.

What this company needs to do now is to work out new agreements with its suppliers and creditors, concentrate on the Canadian business that is profitable, and above all, bring in dedicated new people in key positions that can get the job done. I for one would welcome news of qualified additions to the staff.

With the cancellation of the softwood trade agreement, they could reopen US markets because they would again be on a level playing field with the other Canadian producers. Up to now, they have been at a disadvantage to the older Canadian firms because they have had to pay for US market quota spare. If the trade agreement is extended or renewed, it would not be good for VALH vis a vis the US markets.

For those of you who have talked to Larry Maker, you will no doubt agree that he seems determined to make it through this storm.
