Hi Bonnie,

I think you did a really smart thing by selling your house at this point and protecting a lot of that money. You're kind to thank some of the more independent-minded thinkers and contrarians here at SI, but it's your own willingness to read widely and think outside the late-nineties box that has salvaged your savings. Anyway, I think it's great.

I really enjoy reading the CFZ and have probably learned more from that thread than any other on sI. Not that I understand it all by a long shot. My eyes still glaze over during the comodities and ECB discussions, but I credit the knowledge I've gained from there with regard to gold, the Fed, and a longer-term view of market history with helping me pare my losses.

The posting rate is insane over there though. It's practically a full time job to keep up with it all. I had read that post by KIS as well and liked his phrase. There are some great writers and minds over there. Allan's Alias, Earlie, bobcor, L2 a/k/a L2 and now Zeev Hed (who I see was kind enough to post here today) all come to mind. I have them peoplemarked and read them with great interest.
