Thanks, JohnD; I heard about Amtrak's numbers last week.

Its almost funny to me....there is a not a mass transportation system in the world including our major airlines that do not require some gov't subsidy. Yet, we expect Amtrak to be self sufficient.

In spite of all the negative stuff, Amtrack keeps getting better at least in certain parts of the country.
