I've noticed several posts referencing lack of accessories in Verizon's stores. There is (or will be) a reasonably complete lineup and accessories can be ordered at the Kyocera site:store.kyocera-wireless.com Available Now: * Extra Standard Lithium Ion Battery $69.99 * Car Power Adapter $24.99 * Portable Hands-Free Car Kit $79.99 * Leather Pouch - Strap - Belt clip $24.99 * Replacement Styli - 3 Pack $9.99 * Leather Portfolio Organizer - $49.99 Coming Soon (?) * Data Cable * Spare Travel Charger * Hands-Free Headset One comment on "my justification" for the device. When I bought the Audiovox CDM9000 last summer the hands free car kit was not available. When it became available, turns out it is a fairly large awkward jobby requiring installation. Verizon installed price was $271. I passed and decided to wait for the 6035. With the "Portable Hands-Free Car Kit" I'm $190 ahead of the game. It is just like the kit for my old QCP860, which was very similar to my old QCP800, but the connectors are of course different, so it is forced obsolescence time, once again. << observations and I'll post more of mine >> A few more of mine ... I miss the contrast control on the top of the Vx, but finally found the slider for the function on Preferences General menu. Acceptable but not ideal. Setting hard pauses (%) and timed pauses (,) in a speed dial number stumped me till I looked in the PDF manual, and using the Hard Pause release stumped me again till I realized you triggered this with the shuttle instead of the send button (which was commonly used on my 2 previous Qualcomm models and the Audiovox I just replaced. The shuttle is pretty convenient once you get used to it. I remain very impressed ... still wish there was a keyboard available (with a work around for the flip if one becomes available). The speakerphone is darned handy, and I had gotten very used to voice dial so appreciate that feature on this unit. - Eric -
