Re: He didn't say he was wrong about the CTR, just the timing.

Read his words in the March newsletter "We were wrong....." and "The NASDAQ Indexes have moved significantly lower than we expected." I don't know how he could have said it more clearly.

Re: It would have taken him a few minutes to give numbers. Why should subscribers have to hunt and peck for them wasting all that time? (to check recent price history before buying)

I agree that he should have put in the numbers in his bulletin. I also think that at times he tries to be vague so he has more flexibility to "spin" his position to suit events as they unfold.
That said it wasn't hard to figure out that the recommendation was based on the Oct 12 close 75 1/8.
It seems you're implying people (not investors or traders who should know better) are blindly following a recommendation to buy without any consideration of the price. These people should not be trading. If people bought in the mid or upper 80's, as implied by you and others, relative to Brinker's recommendation, their potential gain was greatly diminished and the risk was greatly increased. People should understand that before making a trade. If people bought in the 80's that was there call. Brinker did not recommend buying in the 80's. It's clear to me Brinker's October recommendation was at 75 1/8.
It's also clear, in hindsight, that Brinker's October recommendation was a disaster.

Re: As I understand it, those in from about 70+ won't (in his opinion) be out without a loss.

Brinker thinks the delayed CTR has the potential to get the NASDAQ back to or above the 3000 level (about where it was on Oct 12) So this would be break even on the Q's at 75 1/8. The word potential implies (to me) best case. So I interpret his current probable case is a loss.

Re: It's all his actions around that call that I object to

It bothered me that Brinker didn't address the losing Oct. recommendation until the March "we were wrong.. " issue. I'm not aware of the other actions, but I'm sure I can learn about them by reading past messages.
