You mean having my lobotomy so that I too can "just pay my $13 a week in union dues, look for the rooster on the ballot on election day and punch the straight ticket, and let smarter people than me do my thinking for me." No thanks, I think I'll keep my brain. It's carried me this far, and, you know, I actually like using it. I also like doing more than is required of me and exceeding expectations. That's definitely non-union. But, you're right, if I had been outside carrying a picket sign, I'm sure that former boss of mine would have overlooked that and asked me anyway to join his startup that went public a few years and rained serious buckage on me. You're right, I would have been better off in a union. I think you picked the wrong guy to try that line on.
