allen good point when the margin debt falls to a normal level then it will be a good signal that a bottom has finally been reached

this is before the big blowoff in margin debt so the current ratio is probably retrenching to the rightmost of the chart. needless to say, investment income is no longer sufficient to service the investment-related debt.
