Only one internet sector makes big bucks on-line now and that's porno. Why? Because they sell content people want in the privacy of their homes. Gradually the other e-commerce businesses will have to charge tolls for entry, but then they will need to deliver more valuable content.

Makes you realize ATT may have the best longterm business model. Problem is they paid too much for it and it's taken too long to get going. But someday that sock will rule, 2-3 years from now maybe. No wonder it's been inching up lately.

It's still the Wild West out there, people. The "railroads" opened it up and now the various sectors have to learn how to bring the goods home profitably. I'm sure there was a price crash during the opening of the West, then a strong recovery again. California and Aspan real estate was very cheap them. Pennies an acre. The internet is in its infancy. It will take years but the old highs will again be approached and taken out eventually.

Someone very smart, patient and rich should buy YHOO while it's so cheap. With some brains, content and patience that one could be worth 100 billion again.

PS - Why do you think the music biz turned down a billion from Napster? Going forward music is a big piece of the pie. But just one piece. The big companies know.
