"No competition"...what? There are plenty of bookstores out there...and last I checked BNBN is still in biz..

Sorry, but I think you are "pie-in-the-skying" here...I honestly don't know how/at what $ a company like Wal-mart values Amzn's assets (good customer list, some value in the distribution/inventory system(s)...but, again, there is absolutely no rush for a Wal-Mart to buy Amzn...if ever...Wal-Mart can sit back and watch Amzn's share price drop like a rock...and watch Amzn get more and more desperate as they're burning cash, and have no further access to capital markets.....last year, Bezos said he saw profitability by beginning 2001....by 2002, he's not going to get a chance to make a prediction.....everyone knows that...

If you've ever seen Wal-Mart negotiate one of their suppliers down to eating dirt for profits, you'd not think so highly of Wal-Mart saving the day....Wal-Mart will do what it wants, when it wants, and will leave little on the table.....likely, Amzn won't get that much out of it- take it or leave it..

Amzn is the leading negative margin player in a commodity-business using the mother of all "commoditizing" vehicles as its main weapon......ick....
