Scumbria, <<<Intel's management has no clue what it is trying to do.>>>

Intel's management is indeed arrogant. Their importance (Intel's that is) in the tech community can't be disputed. Intel's management think it is their doing that they occupy such important positions. In that respect you are right, they don't have a clue.

They generate a lot of bad feelings/envy - call it what you want. You, Dan3 and Joe Osha are good examples. Wrt Joe Osha, I am still convinced that during a breakfast meeting he had with Andy Bryant early in Joe's day as top banana at ML, somehow his little ego must have been ruffled - and he has been waiting to take revenge every chance he could to hurt Intel. i think I have written earlier - predicting Joe would wait for the opportunity to see if he could hurt Intel in some way. I was right, but then again that was a very easy call.

Wrt us investors, it is hard to gauge how good or poorly Intel managment is doing with you people, who really know this industry well, have so much antipathy and ill will towards Intel and with every chance you get - blame everything on Intel managment.

The macro economics is in a free fall, and you guys come out of the woodworks, and and think it is a good time to blame everything on Intel's managment.

Believe me, those guys are not that good. You guys are really confusing the issue by taking this thing so personally.

Hey guys, this is only business. Lighten up.

Mary

Scumbria, I'm sure if we looked at past roadmaps from AMD, you'd see something much different than what AMD publishes these days. And they cover a lot fewer market segments than Intel, so they should be much better at sticking with a consistent roadmap.

By the way, I don't normally make specific comments on buying or selling INTC, but I'm going to venture a guess and say we've finally hit a bottom. Joe Osha be damned; THIS is the best time to buy. (Disclaimer: Not speaking for my employer; this is my own personal opinion.)
