I agree.

I regret trying to play the CTR2 this fall because it went against the long term trend of the market. Seeing my entire profit on my ProFunds UltraBear Fund earned from the summer CTR1 peak down to the NASDAQ 3000 area quickly wiped out by the QQQ implosion after the October call was a bitter pill to swallow. The lesson I take from all of this is that as a long term investor (non-trader), it is unwise to go against the overall trend of the market. It may be safer to try to dollar-cost-average into a short-fund near the projected CTR top area and then ride the market down. At least that way you are going with the overall market trend.

Watching the DJIA drop I'm wondering if we will once again see a rotation of money from blue chips back into tech's as the valuations start to look more favorable.
