I trimmed the last of the long fat this morning, and have battened-down the hatches on the remaining LT holdings.

My ship can't sink, but it may take on more water!

Rydex Total Assets Update for Monday, March 12th 2001

Regular Series:

SPX Long - NOVA 297.6 Million**new 52 week low
SPX Short- URSA 284.4 Million

NDX Long - OTC 1,224 BILLION**new 52 week low
NDX Short- Arktos 91.7 Million

XAU Precious Metals 43.7 Million
Banking 36.9 Million**4 1/2 month low

Money Market 1,463 BILLION**oversold

*******************************************

Dynamic Series (200% correlation)

SPX Long - TITAN 64.6 Million
SPX Short- TEMPEST 32.0 Million

NDX Long - VELOCITY 96.3 Million
NDX Short- VENTURE 43.7 Million

*********************************************

BKX 860 and SPX 1,230 death row support broke as was clearly laid out and identified over the past week or so and now we are going to see if this is a one day false break or this second close today below these levels confirms yesterday breakdown was no fluke.

Gold is down $2.50 off the lows this morning and XAU is down 1.07 to 54.07 off the lows of XAU 53.88. GATA hearing is in 2 days on Thursday the 15th so if gold survives todays round of selling I think the we can head right back to test the recent highs at the very latest into the new moon on March 25th.

Market is down again after up open out of the blocks. Lets see if it bounces back up at the bell. If the market finishes lower today we may take profits out of SPX Short TEMPEST.

Regular Series: 100% XAU Precious Metals
Dynamic Series: 100% Short SPX TEMPEST

Best Regards, J.T.

From MITA 7190:

I have mentioned in MITA archives it would take an SPX level below SPX 1,150 to get an inversion in the Rydex SPX Short over Long TA... Inversion sentiment measures not seen since October 1998 lows when SPX was trading below SPX 1,000.

It looks like we could possibly put this statement to the test tonight after the close...SPX closed right on SPX 1,150.

Best Regards, J.T.
