Grayhairs, your thoughts please? Is this a common way to re-perf and why would they choose this method (like I have any idea of what the choices were ggg).

What we've been able to put together is this:

The initial perf was not totally successful in penetrating the formation. There was something between the casing and the formation that was inhibiting the flow and a decision was made to re-perf in two stages.

Last night, between 11PM and 2AM they perfed, overlapping the lower portion of the original perf before they fired.

The plan was to do the second shoot, sometime this afternoon, by overlapping the upper portion of the original perf. We don't know at this time if that has been completed.

At around 3PM PST, SJ called and advised that the wireline was downhole and there was very little activity, taking place. The signs advising that no cell phones were allowed beyond this point, were sitting out, beside the road. They were not set out on the roads so we believe they were either there from last nights perf or to be used later today, when they completed the second re-perf.

By perfing in this way, they hoped to penetrate the formation and allow the small gap, between the two re-perfs, to be cleared by the resulting flow of gas.

Based on this all being completed, there would not be enough day light remaining to perf and it would be put off until tomorrow. LHG, can someone sit on the deck and see the flare, if there is one, tomorrow?

At this stage we have not confirmed whether the second half of the re-perf has been completed. More once we know.

Cheers,
draderd
