Interesting observation on Jonathan Pond's advice that when your investment went sour, that you should stop investing. Change to long term investing, up to 5 years outlook.

The old sayings, of don't throw good money into bad money, or don't put fresh flower on cow manure, come to mind.

This is now good advice. Most of all avoid margin calls.
