Morning, Ga. Sounds like a great day.
We have the World Bird Sanctuary here, which not only rescues and rehabilitates birds, but offers many educational programs. According to the paper this morning, it has a contract with the Air Force to provide peregrine falcons and their handlers to patrol some of the bases during the migratory season. The falcons scare away the other birds who may collide with planes.
They are so cool!

We had a bald Eagle in our neighborhood in S.C.

It was so strange the first time we saw it.
My son said "That looks like an Eagle"..of course my reaction was one of laughter..who ever heard of an Eagle in a residential neighborhood in SC?

When I looked at the tree he was pointing to, I saw the Eagle!!! I couldn't believe my eyes!

Come to find out there was a woman in the neighborhood who worked for the Audobon Society, and nursed sick birds back to health. She let the bird fly around when it was able, but the bird never left the neighborhood!

Our neighborhood also had Peacocks that meandered around from the "Fish Camp" next door... Pretty funny to see people's reaction when they drove through the neighborhood!

A true wild life sanctuary.
