Yeah, seems pretty quiet. Maybe everyone went to the beach.

Hi Ron,

Here in NE PA we are at least a week away from the return of the Robins. A pleasure every year

Indeed SI posts may be a good indicator .

robins ...

here in the country of GOD ...

and I posted about them LAST month ...

we've had the same ol boid return for nearly a decade to build her nest in the mulberry tree right outside my upstairs office window .....
don't know if anyone has ever seen a robin with graying feathers, but this one had them ...
last year, she failed to show up and I'd known that she was getting very old, even to the casual glance of one who didn't know her, and was dreading that day ...

However, at least two of her progeny did and used the same tree daily for months ....and made her demise easier for me ....

now, this year ...
there are four robins using this mulberry tree for home/hearth/food and that is the only reason I don't cut it down, for it does make a mess on the deck when those berries drop ....
and as I'm typing this ...
I can see five of them hunting worms in the flowerbeds I raked and prepared this weekend ...

one may laugh, and that is alright ..
but
I can identify that two of there here now are direct decendents of my old boid ...
cause the body build is exact and slightly different from other robins ...

so maybe things are OK in other places than in the market ........
