Because the trigger will reduce spending rather than reduce the tax cuts. If we need a trigger it will be because the economy is deteriorating and tax cuts will be even more necessary.

dear flappy... >>> and even Trench Lott himself -- signed on to the Democratic idea of a trigger for future tax cuts?

How will it play in Podunk, talking points. Repubs get tax cut now and get credit. In future the opportunity is to fend off democrat attempts to raise taxes. Very simple tactic of a bird in the hand and leave the dems looking up for the future turd falling into their eye.

Best case is Repubs fought for tax cuts (take credit)and they told the dumb dems we told you so.

Worst case is Repubs fought for tax cuts (take credit)and they tell American's dem dem want to spend all your money.

It's called the Repub win win win and by the way what are all the former dem rapist leaders doing these days. You know those best RAPIST's whoever were. Remeber it's only those with IQ's below 100 who vote democrat. But they have some concious comprehension of increasing taxes. They will also all witness 5, 10 20 100 dollars in each pay check.
That's real, that not hot air dem rhetoric.

OH PARDON me AIN'T that so RICH.
