Elizabeth, one of the best-selling magazines of all time was the issue of "National Lampoon" which featured a puppy similar to the "RCA Victor" dog ... with a gun held to its head. The headline read "Buy this magazine or we will kill this dog!" I may be wrong but I believe that that issue outsold every other magazine on the newstand that month, including "Playboy".
