Gold and gold shares have been in a downward spiral for years & years. The price of gold is held down by the central banks, giving them free reign to expand the money supply. Until this equation changes, gold is a false indicator.
Perhaps looking at where the naz comp was 3-5 years ago would make more sense?
Or maybe better is the 1000 mark the NDX was at in July 1997? And then draw some trendlines, see what comes up..
It seems obvious we will see some kind of a bounce around the FED meeting next week, (also the first day of spring) but no matter what they do, there are some serious structural problems that a rate cut won't "quick fix"
There is also a triple witch on Friday, so anything can and probably will happen. A lot of money will be made and lost in the next 5 days.
