Ham.

<< loaded a number of Palm apps and so far no incompatibility >>

Seems to just be a Palm with 3.5 OS, pure and simple. <g>

<< Verizon ought to be advertising the heck out of this thing. >>

They really should. Also should be training their reps.

When I purchased mine it took the senior guy about 30 minutes to initialize my old mobile number into it. That is done with flip down on the Palm and he was not the least familiar with data entry on a Palm. I had to show him the stylus.

When he finally got done, he said "From here on out YOU are on your own.". <g>

We have both noted some minor deficiencies of the 6035 ... nothing crippling ... but I have come to one personal conclusion as a work around to a few ...

I'll be keeping the Vx with and the GoType keyboard ...

... when I travel on business (as opposed to around town) I'll throw the Vx in the tie compartment of my garment bag where I always keep the keyboard. Any heavy data entry will be done on the Vx in my hotel room in the evening and I'll beam it over to the QCP6035. This gives me a better display, a non Tap Tap data entry capability, and I don't have to worry about battery loss.

Ham,

<< load a number of Palm apps ... WordSmith >>

Are you (others) able to comment on or compare "WordSmith" to "Documents To Go"?

I was about to order "Documents To Go" (which I trialed last year and liked) but just downloaded a Trial version of "WordSmith" after reading a review.

I like "Documents To Go" because it handles both Word and Excel.
