Mark

I am ROTFLMAO at your posting of this article.I read it over the weekend and would not post it because I remembered my last posting of such a piece and thought that because most of the posters here are into Virus protection tools that I would only "stir the pot" so I let it go.

Thanks for showing you are open to all opinions.

Cheers

Ed

Interesting article. Fwiw, I have recently gone scanner-free since my recent re-format and definitely appreciate the performance gains. I rely on ZoneAlarm Pro to quarantine email, and a combination of X-Netstat and registry monitoring to watch for suspicious activity.

Interesting link. I have for the last 5 months on this computer, have had programs or something strange trying to get out of my system. The names are very cryptic, and they only come up while using Netscape. I use Norton Personal Firewall on this machine.

And NO, these are not picked up by virus scans, or are the typical TROJANS. I figure its spyware of some sort. Just had another one last night.

One day I will figure out what they are. Glad the firewall alerts me before whatever is sent out to the snoopy marketers.
