NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 12,
2001--Metromedia Fiber Network, Inc. (MFN)
(Nasdaq:MFNX - news), the leader in deployment
of optical IP Internet infrastructure within key
metropolitan areas domestically and internationally,
announces quarterly guidance for 2001.

MFN's fourth quarter and year-end 2000 results,
announced on March 8, 2001, highlighted the
Company's continued growth. Revenues for the
quarter ended December 31, 2000 increased 136%
to $61.0 million, compared with $25.9 million for
the quarter ended December 31, 1999. Revenues
for the year ended December 31, 2000 increased
150% to $188.2 million, compared with $75.2
million for the year ended December 31, 1999.

MFN has reaffirmed its revenue target of $475.0
million for 2001 and normalized EBITDA loss
(earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and
amortization, and stock compensation charges) to
fall between $155 million to $145 million for 2001.
