Even in the twin study, which was roundly criticized, incidentally, for tainted methodology, the correlation was 50%. At best, then there is a genetic predisposition, but not a strict determination among the majority of homosexuals.

As for the question of sexual ambivalence, why would you term a practice a sin unless you imagined that some people were attracted to it? The religious taboo presupposes the existence of sexual ambivalence among some portion of the population, or in certain circumstances.......

<< It seems to me unlikely that there is a gene which causes people to be gay as we know there are many bi-sexuals. >>

There are many differences in each persons sexual makeup. Call it a gene difference, or call it a genetic difference, or call it a hormonal difference, it doesn't matter.

Saying that being gay is by choice, in every instance, is like saying that allergies are by choice. There are many individuals that are born with different levels of sexuality.

Almost everyone has come into contact with a little boy, who acted more like a girl, or a little girl that acted more like a boy. They used to call girls "tomboys".

Religious persecution and the spewing of hatred towards others, because they are born different from the "norm", is evil and disgusting.
