Well,there appears to be a higher incidence of homosexual exclusivity (who know about experimentation?) among males. Additionally, the more predatory instincts of masculine sexuality are the norm in the gay community (lesbians are much more likely to nest). Additionally, you are correct, the prevalent libertinism is a hotbed of exotic STDs. All of these things probably explain the preponderate attention paid gay men. Still, the condemnation of homosexuality is almost certainly a matter of finding it shameful that a male should take the submissive role (even in gay society, it is considered desirable to be butch, and undesirable to be a "fairy"), and finding it a betrayal of masculinity to participate, even in the dominant position.
