robwin re AMAT:

I owned it 4 years at some ridiculous cost basis and it was one of my last LTB&Hs that I sold.

You know the company, I'm sure. Make $3 million and upwards machines bot by the chip makers.

The fundamental Q in my mind when I let go of it was:

How can chip eqpmt mfgrs -- even the sector leader -- possibly NOT suffer enormous downside to revs when the chips turn down?

That's just me <g> ... I don't want it -- or anything else, for that matter -- again, if and until the market itself turns and exhibits lasting upward mobility.

Jeepers, is it safe to come out?

Rob, you were a smart guy not to buy today. I bought a whopping 5 QQQ ITM April calls and I'm scared about being even that long.. I bought a couple of April OEX puts when I saw the Dow slice through 10300, which is an ominous sign.
