I don't trade stocks short term.
I buy and hold off bottoms in fork cycles as close as I can and sell 50% on fork cycle highs. Sometimes this can be a year or longer.

But holding these stocks into a bear market has been getting harder.
Also retirement mutual funds may get switched to bonds or cash shortly.
That will make trading the short side easier emotionally.
