Verve, fun stuff. However, it appears the euros have done the unthinkable. They've launched a suicide attack upon the Gate. :>)

Are the Asians coming?

Another ending for your story could be:

"It's the ASIANS!" a young swede yelled.

"The asians are coming, the asians are coming!"

Panic engulfed the euro troops. The Asians were about to sweep past them, through the gates, into the Promised 3G-Land. The euros looked at the tall unbeaten gates. They looked in their pockets, and realised they didn't have the cash to pay the toll. They'd spent all their money just getting to the gate.

The Asians pushed past the euros, and lined up at the Gate. "We're going through now", shouted DoCo. "We're negotiating to go through", shouted a Chinese at the back. There were 3 Koreans, and one of them whimpered, "Daddy is making me go through. Why is he picking on me?".

Then the Asians looked in their pockets, and began to murmur and frown. One by one, they looked and found that their pockets were empty, also. The murmuring grew to a vast groan, as the horde dismounted and sat down in the dust before the gate. This made a huge dust cloud that obscured everything for years. There was much noise and moving shadows, but no one went through the gate.

"ho, ho, ho", giggled the swede, "maybe we'll all just wait for the wind and rain to erode the gate. How long could it take?"
