The Bad News and the Good News

The Bad News: Last year, I repeatedly bought the dips and bought tech stocks that I thought were at bargain-basement P/E levels, reasoning that they "couldn't go lower". I lost approximately 30% of my portfolio.

The Good News: I remember last year and have not bought a tech stock while the NASDAQ has continued its steady decline. I have completely avoided the NASDAQ carnage.

Moral of the story: if you hit someone upside the head often enough with a 2 x 4, eventually it makes a lasting impression.
