OT ---Interesting that Greenspan took a lot of the credit when the economy was strong yet he is not at fault when his action started the ball rolling south . Well I hope he can run faster than the snowball . He seems to think that the technology area is the only one suffering ( BS ) :

quote.bloomberg.com

With companies not buying the technology to increase productivity we have lost our inflation hedge . Also the companies have no way to increase output unless they lay off which continues the vicious cycle we are beginning . Now we have the S%P 500 in a bear market , Japan in a depression and Europe slowing to 2% growth and a FED board that has no idea what to do except to bury their heads in the sand . All of this carnage in the market over an .8% increase in a year over year increase in inflation .
Their was an market technician on CBNC that said if the Nasdaq boke 2000 the Dow would break 7500 shortly their after . Looks like he was right ---Defintely a volatile week ahead with triple witching Friday upon us . Greenspan will reap what he has sown

BEST WISHES
BILL
PS -- I can handle the companies screwing up and missing forecasts but I did not invest in the Federal reserve ( Hell I guess I should have ) . New symbol for the FED ===ODS ( Old , Dumb and Stupid )
Wonder if he would like the economy growing 5% now ?

John,

I have been putting together a set of serious SI search tools. I don't have the database set up for the Intel thread yet, but here is a post I made about RDRAM on the AMD thread in 1998:

Rambus is a wonderful technology for graphics adapters. It adds little or no value for desktop CPU's
