I merely intervene to explain: the ordinary meaning of doing something on your own time is that you are doing it gratis, all the more when you cite it as an instance of devotion to the company. That is the way I undestood it, too. Then, when you made a point of saying that you had been paid time and a half, it was disconcerting. I am sure it was just a matter of infelicitous expression, but......
