GG There can be very few posters and lurkers(if ANY) on SI that wouldn't be willing to trade their past 12mo, 24mo, 36mo, ROI with the kind of performance you and Berney have achieved. Heck, outside of one little oil position(and a very recent XAU fund) the best performing part of my past 12 mo portfolio is a little investment called... CASH! Everything else I try to hold for any time longer than a few days my fingers get burned.GG RE: Negativity Ever notice how everything seems to eventually come back.. 80s music & fiscal policy... 50s roadsters... The Great Depression. Seriously though, I think the negative sentiment is overdone. Perhaps we all now have a case of T/A myopia, always looking DOWN to the next support. I,m guilty of that also( having to go all the way back to 98 for OEX supports). A year ago people were predicting how far the NAZ would rise by years end, now its NAZ 1800? 1500? etc. Perhaps the exuberance that accepts the "promises promises" of PEG values near a market top and gets way too carried away, is balanced by overlooking the "show me the money" of cold hard good PE near a bottom. There is a disconnect between a "stock" and a "company" regarding performance in a bull market that perhaps will reconnect at a market bottom. Isn't AMD at PE=8 over punished? Aren't there lots of other good "companies" whose stocks are over punished at this point? Isn't the risk/reward ratio of these starting to look like they're worth a play. OK, OK enough soapbox, back to t/A myopia. I got OEX retracements at 668(bye bye), 617(see ya later), 567, 500. I got OEX supports(from 98) at 604, 550(gulp). For this week, however, Max Pain is overhead for both OEX and QQQ (and Berney's trendline) and the PPT and AG are still lurking in the woods. On top of that you got bearish sentiment, newspaper doom headlines, and MAR 20th. So I figure we're near at least a short term bottom. Lets just get back above OEX 604 by todays close. BWTHDIK John
