Well done, John.

I...and a lot of other concerned SI members...are glad you've finally agreed with us and decided to take action against the infestation of advertisements and hyperlinks that direct members away from SI and towards outside pay sites. SI may be too late, as the site has already lost the interest of many members by not addressing this issue sooner, but this is a step in the right direction.

It is extremely gratifying and somewhat amusing to know that our protests and relentless complaints forced some people to clean up their act, contrary to their desire and initial instincts.....believe me, we'll be maintaining vigil and watching to make sure it stays that way.

Thanks John, perfect.. We will dispense with the links to the free trial, testing the service.. comeons etc.. We will occasionally use this thread to send messages about events that are free and also for subscribers.. We don't have many events.. say just an evening lecture etc.

I will return the links the articles since they are also for FREE service.. We won't say anything of course about promotions.. Come Join or anything like that. We haven't really done but it was in the body of the cover letter. And we will use the links to any information. I won't emphasize the trading room mentioning for the most part... We discussed in the room.. but only sporadically.

The grey area might be intraday updates in code.. but we won't harp on it, so that should work.
Good policy.. so far.
