If for real dead cat, it should have been dead. But I really believe that an AFC lead bounce is on the way. She does not get paid for $5 million for nothing. I have been getting in and out on a daily basis within the last 3 weeks and have made some very decent gains. Did not do much between Dec. last year and Jan., with the exception of trading the rate cut rally for a very quick gain. CSCO and DELL will warn. ORCL will guide number lower on Thursday. MSFT, SUNW, AMAT, JDSU, GLW, EMC, INTC...these guys will have to guide numbers lower when they report earnings, otherwise they will line up and give us another vicious warning cycle. We can only reach a bottom when the volume dries up and no one gives another damn about the warning. Then we will enter a long phase of "L", or even worse, lower low. BTW, Japan is about the make a 17-year low. larry
