Thats okay.. I did speak with John.. As it so happens we have a number of sites willing to give us a 'home' without any of the obstacles that are encountered here but I'm giving it a while and I have a right to say what I want..

For some reason.. I seem to be bound and shackled while these 'posters' can say what they want.. I can say I'll take 400,000 with me or 4,000,000 how come you are all so sensitive and easily bruised? I'll say what I want, when I want... and on any thread I want.. as long as it doesn't go against the terms of agreement with SI.

just like everyone here does. I have the time to dedicate to the thread now that we have more moderation on that other place, so I might want to learn what I can about the various threads, ask questions.. that kind of thing. Test the waters, see what we can get for the future. Did you really think that you have total control over the Welcome to Silicon Investor! thread, well I have news for you you don't. This is the thread of everyone.. for some reason you have camped out here and act like you own it.

I did notice that some of you get away with brutality, and I would never stoop as low as you, but If I become somewhat more outspoken, that's entirely my concern. You got that?

Right on Jack, especially your last paragraph there - soliciting business should remain a grey area imho, there is a quid pro quo for both SI and its membership in that considerable education comes from some of those who advertise, particularly the three you mention there, Teresa, dr bob, and A@P ... the latter makes for great entertainment even if you don't learn anything, and for intelligentspeculator.com i have a soft spot, i learned a lot there just lurking, never paid a nickel.

Jenna i don't know, don't play US stocks much, prefer lurking John Pitera's, MDA, Ike's, CFZ for general market direction etc ... she should probably grow a thicker skin if she wants to survive on the net, imho ... those going off their nut criticising her would probably invent themselves a life if they didn't get a rise out of her ... but should she have links to her site on her thread - sure, why not, far as i'm concerned ... the little special deal with SI where she's always on the hot list, well that's a bit dodgey, but amusing.

An absolute ban on advertising would wipe out a lot of interesting stuff here imho ... community standards should rule, as much as they can after SI makes a buck [touch of realism there, sorry -g-] ... as a member of the community, i figure as long as they're not touting some blatant non-reporting garbage and as long as i have the right to click Next or not click on them in the first place, let 'em be.

There's something about self-appointed gurus though ... Jorje poses a relevant question here - Subject 31639
