These people are going to learn that the bubble goes back to the mid-nineties. If folks realized where the S&P would be if the 1995 takeoff had not happened but, instead, we had just continued along in a nice bullish grind, well, they would be shocked at how far away that number is.

I think cash is going to be king soon. If wealth is lost, deflation of assets is the only outcome I see. Yeah, we may have an inflation spike, but in the long rung stuff like real estate is going much lower. Same with a lot of the toys I want. If wealth is lost and buyers disappear, deflation in the long run is all that makes sense to me for big ticket items. I took out cash today and put it next to my yellow dog coins at the bank. Screw the possible few percent I'd get in the money market of bank account. I'd rather have cash if need be. I bet I just fucked us all and signaled a short term bottom, but I'd like to think I'm a bit ahead of the curve. -GGG-
