It's not in the best interest of the Fed to lower rates. They make more money off the higher rates. The Fed is probably getting a lot of new customers as a result of turmoil they caused. Parents who had money in the market for their kids education now have to find other means of financing. Glad I'm not retiring over the next several years, wonder what retirees with 401K and IRA's think of their future now? I'm still sitting on 700 @ $75 vowing never listen to anal-ists again.

AG should have had a pulse on the mfg sector late in 2000 and should have drastically cut rates in order to avoid the debacle we're going through now.At 75 yrs of age,it's time for forced retirement.
