I am not sure what you are referring to; my post was merely a thank-you to an SI staff member for responding to our repeated complaints about an unacceptable practice that had become common on SI since I joined many years ago. If you feel John Busby posted something off-topic and inappropriate for this thread, take it up with him. In the meantime, it is gratifying to know that because of a few vocal posts we made starting a few weeks ago, SI is in the process of returning to its original charter of openness, honesty, and community. It really is a sea-change in a short period of time, and it feels good to have started it. We are happy you have now agreed to alter your approach. Part of that original SI charter is inclusion--the fact that these threads "belong" to no one, and that insults and random, arbitrary banning violate that spirit. That will be part of our vigil in the future.
