HJ, WalMart neeeds nothing AMZN can offer. Don't kid yourself- bargain hunting has been the "in thing" for yuppies for some time now. Just look at the parking lot at BJ's or Wal-Mart or Cotsco. Someday, the yuppies will learn to look for bargains in the stock mkt too! BTW BJ's is a serious "buy" ! and if you're "chicken" in this mkt, look at AFCE under 18- I am and I did! Victor

Glenn, you still don't think the Wal-Mart deal will happen? Some feel if it doesn't it will be too bad for both of their customers. James, I am about as sure as I get it will no happen. Wal-Mart truly has no need ofr Amazon has a partner. Their current on-line presence is an experiment that will improve with time. Amazon only has one asset and that is their experienced high tech employees. Wal-Mart can easily hire these people when Amazon folds ina six months. I can't really say I know if the DCs are of much importance to Wal-Mart but since they are leased, the subleases would be relatively low. The most important issue to a retailer is expertise in inventory buying, management and marketing. The technology for on-line sales may be bought relatively cheaply in comparison. Wal-Mart has no need at all of Bezos and the current management there. I anticipate they will buy up some of the remaining pieces. Glenn
